Pope Julius III del Monte is Notable.

He was born on 7 February 1550 at Monte San Savino.[1][2]

He was consecrated as Bishop on 12 November 1514 by his uncle, Antonio Maria Ciocchi del Monte and created a Cardinal on 22 December 1536 by Paul III.[1]

He was Archbishop of Manfredonia (1512-1544); Bishop of Pavia (1521-1530); Cardinal-Priest of Santa Prassede (1542-1543); Cardinal-Bishop of Palestrina (1543-1550).[1]

He was elected Pope on 7 February 1550 and took the name Julius III. He died on 23 March 1555 in Rome.[1]
